the heartbeat of your family.

I have vivid memories as a little girl, sitting on my grandfathers lap, pouring over all their photo albums and hearing all the stories related to them, getting to know all the people in them. I never tired of seeing them over and over and over again.
the only reason I remember that I had chicken pox on a family holiday when I was one is because of a photo of me sitting on a picnic blanket, in full sun, squinting at the camera, smiling with pox all over me.
or the very first time we brought each of our children home and all the slow / chaotic / magical moments that motherhood brought.
it is so sweet to see my own children pull out our photo books and look them over.. over and over again.
I hope to one day, have my own grandchildren sit in my lap as we pour over photo books together…

photos keep memories alive.
they are archives of what is most important to us.
that is why I take photos.
that is why I want to give you photos.
so we can keep telling the stories, and one day, our grandkids can sit on our lap with a photo album full of stories and memories… and well, what sweeter inheritance to give to our children and children’s children...
